AMDESIGN IS SIMPLE AND FAST TO INSTALL. YOU NEED AN ACTIVE SAP2000® LICENSE ON YOUR PC FOR IT TO WORK.*

Once the AMDesign plug-in is installed on your PC and has been registered, simply enter the structure data to start analysing the building’s behaviour.

WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF AMDESIGN?

Thanks to its features, AMDesign supports designers with the design of earthquake-resistant interventions, thanks to the use of active earthquake response control systems.

Input SAP2000®

As input, AMDesign accepts any type of FEM model made with SAP2000®.

Modal Analysis

With AMDesign, you can perform modal analysis through SAP2000® and export the results.

Active Control Design

Through AMDesign, it is possible to design an active control system by inserting an Active Mass Damper in the roof, and carrying out linear and non-linear simulations.

Show Architecture

AMDesign allows you to check the architecture of the installed system.

Time History Analysis

AMDesign allows you to configure and perform linear and non-linear time history analyses, and evaluate the structure’s dynamic response under load, moment by moment.

Run Analysis

Once the analysis is finished, with AMDesign it is possible to verify the state of effort of the model and carry out vulnerability checks and therefore the resistance check of individual structural elements.

WITH AMDESIGN YOU HAVE THE POSSIBILITY TO INTERACT DIRECTLY WITH SAP2000®

  1. Calculate the control forces necessary for the accelerogram chosen when configuring the load case.
  2. Simulate the structure’s dynamic behaviour.
  3. Quickly verify the results and improvements that can be obtained when an Active Mass Damper is adopted.
  4. Save load cases directly to SAP2000® to conduct the vulnerability analysis.
