  1. Syn­chro­nous sam­pling by Sen­sor Box­es installed on the deck. Each Sen­sor Box con­tains: Accelerom­e­ters, Gyro­scopes, Barom­e­ters and humid­i­ty and tem­per­a­ture sensors.
  2. Data send­ing to the Cen­tral Unit with CAN-Bus Protocol.
  3. Auto­mat­ic Data pre-processing.
  4. Data sta­t­ic analy­sis to obtain tilt angles and dynam­ic analy­sis of the data through auto­mat­ic iden­ti­fi­ca­tion of modal para­me­ters. The dynam­ic iden­ti­fi­ca­tion results are the mode shapes, nat­ur­al fre­quen­cies and dampings.
  5. Raw Data FIFO par­tial stor­age in the Cen­tral Unit to be avail­able in case of emergency.
  6. Sta­t­ic and dynam­ic para­me­ters are sent from Cen­tral Unit to Cloud using 3G network.
  7. Sta­t­ic and dynam­ic para­me­ters sta­tis­ti­cal pro­cess­ing to obtain the
    struc­ture oper­a­tive range, ambi­ent effect depu­ra­tion and poten­tial anom­aly detection.
  8. Final Data down­load to user dash­board for remote monitoring.

Sampling frequency of 200Hz. More than 43MB of Data transmitted to the Central Unit every 10 minutes with CAN-Bus protocol.

Data are trans­mit­ted to the Cen­tral Unit via CAN-Bus cer­ti­fied com­mu­ni­ca­tion which allows to sup­port the trans­mis­sion of a large amount of Data col­lect­ed. Data are sam­pled with a fre­quen­cy of 200Hz every 10 min­utes, thus more than 43MB of data are transmitted.

Anomalies identification.

ISAAC algo­rithms allow to process Data with max­i­mum accu­ra­cy on-edge on the mon­i­tored struc­ture (or on parts of it) directly.

Data are processed with spe­cif­ic algo­rithms to iden­ti­fy sta­t­ic para­me­ters such as resid­ual rota­tions and modal analy­sis and obtain struc­ture dynam­ic para­me­ters thanks to accel­er­a­tions and rota­tion speeds mea­sured by Sen­sor Box­es. Para­me­ters are obtained and sent to the Cloud, where they are puri­fied by envi­ron­men­tal fac­tors (tem­per­a­ture and humid­i­ty), and con­fi­dence inter­vals are defined to get lim­its beyond which dif­fer­ent alarms (cor­re­spond­ing to dif­fer­ent risk thresh­olds) are acti­vat­ed to define the poten­tial dam­age pres­ence or main­te­nance needs. This way the Struc­ture oper­a­tional state is defined and pos­si­ble anom­alies are auto­mat­i­cal­ly identified.

Add a FEM model.

It is pos­si­ble to mod­el the struc­ture ini­tial state with FEM. This allows the detec­tion of dif­fer­ences between the dynam­ic behav­iour of the real struc­ture and the the­o­ret­i­cal design one (the FEM mod­el one).

 

The FEM mod­el can be updat­ed so that its dynam­ic and sta­t­ic para­me­ters match the real struc­ture iden­ti­fied ones. This way it’s pos­si­ble to check the struc­ture in case of excep­tion­al loads occurrence.
